Business growth is easy to recognize on paper. A larger client signs. Revenue climbs. An entrepreneur crosses a milestone that once seemed distant.
Charisse Sisou has watched clients experience those moments. Through her coaching work, she says entrepreneurs have secured their biggest clients and moved businesses from six to seven-figure revenue.
But some of the most consequential changes she witnessed never appeared on a balance sheet.
Women left abusive relationships. Others walked away from toxic workplaces or stopped shrinking themselves around people who expected them to remain agreeable or easy to control. They began rebuilding, professionally and personally.
Those experiences inspired Sisou’s newest book, Shameless: Reclaim Your Power & Joy— and Never Lose Yourself Again, scheduled to launch in November 2026.
The Story Behind the Second Book
Sisou, founder and CEO of Lead with Passion LLC, built her work around coaching and communications for soulful individuals and entrepreneurs seeking greater purpose, confidence and impact.
Her bestseller, Shameless: Unleash Your Message, Impact & Power, originally spoke directly to female entrepreneurs. It focused on the invisible barriers standing between women and the success they were capable of creating.
Readers responded with business wins, but Sisou began noticing that the lessons were traveling far beyond entrepreneurship.
Women told her the book gave them courage to leave relationships and environments that were damaging their happiness. The feedback reframed Shameless‘s possibilities. The same framework that helped someone speak more confidently about her business can also help her recognize where she had stopped speaking for herself. It was the same framework that propelled Sisou’s healing after a painful first marriage and divorce.
The second book grew from Sisou’s realization that her message could help women beyond entrepreneurship.
What Personal Power Has to Do With Leadership
Professional confidence is often discussed as though it exists separately from the rest of life. Sisou’s work challenges that division.
A leader can build an impressive company while struggling to set boundaries in a personal relationship. An accomplished professional can negotiate contracts yet still question her instincts around a domineering personality. Someone may appear successful while privately feeling that important parts of herself have disappeared.
Sisou wants to address that gap.
The updated Shameless framework expands beyond female entrepreneurs to anyone who has been shamed for the bodies they’re in, or who has lost confidence and identity within intimate, family, friend or work relationships.
Her definition of reclaiming power is rooted in lived choices rather than appearances.
“I’ve made peace with my past and reclaimed the power I once gave away,” Sisou says. “I’m a better mother, friend, and leader. I see more clearly, choose differently and hold boundaries without apology.”
Rethinking the Meaning of Growth
There is a familiar tendency in entrepreneurship to measure progress through scale. Sisou is interested in another question: What is the value of professional achievement if someone feels increasingly disconnected from herself while pursuing it?
For her clients, rebuilding has taken different forms. Sometimes it means growing a company. Sometimes it means leaving an unhealthy marriage, changing a work environment or establishing standards that alter the course of a relationship.
Sisou sees those decisions as connected, not competing, versions of success.
Her premise is that reclaiming power and joy affects more than the individual. The way someone leads, parents, communicates and builds relationships can change with it.
That gives the upcoming book a different mandate from its predecessor. The first Shameless helped women confront barriers between themselves and greater visibility and business success. The second asks readers to examine something more fundamental: where they may have surrendered parts of themselves along the way.
For Sisou, that is where lasting growth—and happiness—begins.
