The creation of the United Nations of Africa Heritage (UNAH) is borne out of the need to bring interpretation and clarity to the African Union Agenda 2063,
Aspiration 5, “AN AFRICAN WITH STRONG CULTURAL IDENTITY,
COMMON HERITAGE, VALUES AND ETHICS INCULCATING THE SPIRIT OF PAN AFRICANISM, TAPPING AFRICA’S RICH HERITAGE
AND CULTURE TO ENSURE THAT THE CREATIVE ARTS ARE MAJOR
CONTRIBUTORS TO HERITAGE INCLUDING LANGUAGE”
Fundamentally, the whole reason for the partnership we received from the Africa Union Commission through their endorsement of this project is to
reintegrate Africans through culture, programs and activities by the institutions of the “African Civilization Heritage City” to create a new Africa of our dream.
To achieve the agenda, we have designed UNAH as a platform to enable us drive the Vision by creating awareness and the engagement programs.
In order to achieve this vision task, we need a holistic approach of resource
people such as educational institutions, the private sector, law makers,
non-governmental institutions, traditional institutions, to come together and
plan how to use this opportunity created by the African Union to create,
build and secure the future of our dreams for the coming generations of
Africans by 2063.
