One Man’s Vision to Equip Black Entrepreneurs with the Tools of Tomorrow
Technology changed the course of Dr. Jimmy J. Davies’ life—and now, he’s using it to change the future for others.
In 1987, a borrowed Macintosh computer sparked something powerful. Dr. Davies didn’t own a computer. He didn’t even know how to use one. But what he did have was an insatiable desire to learn, grow, and share his knowledge with others.
Within months, he launched a computer training service that would eventually reach more than 10,000 students across 40 cities in 12 states. While most people were just getting acquainted with desktop technology, Dr. Davies was already deep in the trenches—teaching, training, and transforming.
Today, he is the founder of Every.Black, a rising global platform that empowers Black entrepreneurs—especially those over 50—through artificial intelligence education, technology training, and international networking. His mission is clear: equip a new generation of business owners with the digital tools to build wealth, scale smarter, and stay competitive in today’s economy.
A Lifelong Commitment to Empowerment
Launching Every.Black in 2018 wasn’t just a business move.
It was the natural evolution of Dr. Davies’ decades-long commitment to bridging the digital divide in the Black community.
“Too often, I didn’t see people of color in my training rooms,” Dr. Davies says. “That was a red flag—and a call to action.”
Every.Black now serves as a safe, empowering learning space for those who may have missed the early tech wave but are ready to catch up—and leap forward. From AI and ChatGPT workshops to business automation and global collaboration sessions, Every.Black members don’t just learn tech—they learn how to use it to grow their business, amplify their message, and take control of their future.
Not Just Training—Transformation
Every.Black is more than an education platform. It’s a movement of business-minded individuals who are no longer waiting to be included in the digital conversation—they’re leading it.
The community spans the United States, Africa, and the Caribbean, with entrepreneurs attending classes, sharing strategies, and building relationships that turn into opportunities.
“We connect people across borders who might have never met otherwise,” says Dr. Davies. “It’s not just about information—it’s about access.”
A Proven Track Record
Dr. Davies has spent the last 40 years blazing trails in technology education. He’s earned an Honorary Doctorate from the National Beauty Culturist League, built the African American Information Network on Apple’s early eWorld platform, and was chosen to create the Dr. Joe L. Dudley, Sr. Legacy Project—celebrating the life of a pioneering Black entrepreneur.
Each accomplishment reflects a consistent theme: empowerment through education, legacy through leadership.
One of his core beliefs guides Every.Black’s direction:
“When there is change, there is opportunity. Since change is constant, there is always opportunity.”
Looking Ahead…
Dr. Davies envisions Every.Black becoming the go-to platform for Black entrepreneurs around the world—especially those seeking a second wind, a digital edge, or a supportive community rooted in growth.
“We’re showing people that it’s never too late to learn,” he says. “If you’re in business—or want to be—you need to understand the technology that drives it. That’s what we teach. That’s what we build.”
