Red Thread Labs Wants to Change the Conversation Around Lasting Love

For decades, people searching for meaningful relationships have been told to perfect their dating profiles, expand their social circles, or simply wait for the right person to come along. Yet despite an abundance of dating platforms and relationship advice, loneliness and dating fatigue continue to grow. Red Thread Labs believes the problem is not where people are looking for love. It is how they have been taught to understand it.

Founded by J.D. Carlston and Chick Adams, Red Thread Labs is introducing Love Labs, an experiential learning program that challenges conventional relationship wisdom by treating attraction as a trainable nervous system pattern. Instead of asking participants to search for the perfect partner, the program teaches them how to become what the founders describe as “neuroattractive,” creating the foundation for healthier and more enduring relationships.

Rethinking the Science of Attraction

The concept behind Love Labs emerged from a simple but provocative question. Why do capable, successful people continue to struggle with lasting love?

According to Red Thread Labs, the answer lies beneath conscious behavior. Attraction is shaped by deeply embedded nervous system responses, attachment patterns, and emotional habits developed over time. Without recognizing these influences, many people unknowingly recreate the same relationship dynamics, regardless of who they meet.

Love Labs was developed to help participants interrupt those patterns. Through guided experiential learning, individuals gain greater relationship clarity, expand their emotional awareness, and retrain the unconscious responses that influence how they connect with others.

Turning Decades of Research Into Practical Learning

Launching this fall in Salt Lake City, the first Love Labs cohorts will provide immersive, in person experiences designed to help participants translate research into everyday relationships. Rather than relying on lectures alone, the program emphasizes practical exercises that encourage lasting behavioral change.

The initiative draws upon decades of research into attachment and human connection, supported by a multidisciplinary team that includes Dr. Melissa Ditmore, the late Rev. Dr. Robert Dee McDonald, the late Dr. Carolyn Elliott, somatic practitioner Dani Granaroli, and a broader network of embodiment experts and professional coaches.

The founders say years of research and practical application have already helped participants experience greater happiness and deeper relationship insight, laying the groundwork for the public launch of Love Labs.

Creating Relationships That Last

For Carlston, the company’s mission extends beyond improving dating experiences. It is about helping people develop the emotional qualities that sustain healthy relationships over time.

“Deep down, everyone wants to be neuroattractive, cherished and chosen for who they are, by people that they love. Not everyone believes it’s possible. Our protocol shows you how to develop the traits that attract, and keep, the love of your life,” Carlston says.

As conversations around emotional wellbeing, attachment, and loneliness continue to evolve, Red Thread Labs is offering a new perspective. Rather than presenting love as something discovered through chance, the company believes lasting connection begins with intentional personal development and the willingness to transform from the inside out.
