For millions of women, perimenopause can feel confusing, isolating, and deeply disruptive. Symptoms such as anxiety, fatigue, mood shifts, brain fog, and sleep challenges often emerge gradually, leaving many women questioning their health and well being without clear answers or support. Laurel Wilson, TEDx speaker, women’s health educator, and certified menopause practitioner, is addressing this growing issue through her new program, Thrive During the Transition, a 12 week experience designed to help women navigate midlife with greater understanding, vitality, and confidence.
Combining evidence-based education with holistic wellness strategies, the program reflects a broader movement toward more comprehensive support for women during perimenopause and menopause.
A Shift in the Conversation Around Menopause
Historically, menopause has often been treated as a private struggle or inevitable decline rather than a significant health transition requiring education and care. Laurel believes that perspective has left many women feeling dismissed, uninformed, and disconnected from their own bodies.
Research shows that many women experience symptoms for years before identifying them as hormonal changes related to perimenopause. At the same time, provider knowledge gaps and limited access to specialized menopause care continue to create barriers for women seeking support .
Through Thrive During the Transition, Laurel aims to provide women with practical tools and trustworthy information so they can better understand the physiological and emotional shifts taking place during midlife.
“Thrive During the Transition was created to help women reconnect with their bodies, understand what is happening physiologically and emotionally, and step into midlife feeling informed, supported, energized, and deeply alive again,” Laurel explains .
Bringing Decades of Women’s Health Expertise
Laurel’s work is grounded in more than twenty five years of experience educating healthcare providers, families, and women around the world. As an international educator and TEDx speaker, she has developed training programs for lactation consultants, nurses, midwives, and healthcare professionals focused on evidence based women’s health education .
Her approach combines scientific understanding with compassionate support, helping women feel empowered rather than overwhelmed by the changes they are experiencing.
This philosophy became the foundation for Thrive During the Transition, which integrates hormone education, wellness practices, community support, and practical lifestyle strategies into one structured program.
Redefining Midlife as a Time of Growth
One of the key messages behind Laurel’s work is that menopause should not be viewed solely through the lens of decline. Instead, she encourages women to see midlife as an opportunity for renewal, self awareness, and long term wellness.
The next 12 week cohort of Thrive During the Transition begins June 29, 2026, offering women access to educational resources, guided support, and a community centered on resilience and vitality .
As awareness around menopause continues to expand globally, Laurel’s work contributes to a larger effort to transform how women experience and understand this stage of life.
