At 36, Kyle Robinson is living proof that second chances can lead to extraordinary impact. Once consumed by addiction after a promising professional baseball career, Robinson has built a new identity as a motivational speaker and founder of Relentless Repetition. His mission: inspire individuals to embrace the discipline and persistence required to succeed.
A Turning Point
Robinson’s life changed forever on November 24, 2019—the day he committed to sobriety. “I knew I wasn’t supposed to die,” he says. “I had a purpose, and it was to help people find hope in their darkest moments.”
The clarity he gained during recovery became the foundation for his speaking career. Today, he shares his journey across the country, blending humor, honesty, and actionable lessons.
Mentorship as a Growth Engine
A defining moment came in late 2023 when Robinson met Damon West, a nationally recognized speaker with a parallel story of addiction and redemption. “Years earlier, while deep in my addiction, my mom sent me an article about Damon. Meeting him years later confirmed I was on the right path.”
Robinson now emphasizes mentorship as a cornerstone of entrepreneurial success. “The biggest mistake people make is trying to figure everything out alone,” he says. “The right mentor can fast-track your growth.”
No Shortcuts to Balance
For Robinson, the idea of early work-life balance is a myth. “If you want to be the best, you have to be obsessed,” he asserts. To manage the stress of his packed schedule, Robinson leans on fitness. “Working out keeps me sober and sane. It’s my therapy, my release, and my fuel.”
Expanding the Mission
Looking ahead, Robinson envisions speaking for professional and collegiate athletic programs, while also reaching younger audiences in high schools. He’s currently collaborating with leadership groups, universities, and event organizers to amplify his story.
“My future is about scale—getting in front of more people, telling my story, and empowering them to take action,” Robinson says. “Because if I can come back from the edge of death, anyone can turn their life around.”
