For many companies, the response to employee stress comes after the warning signs have already appeared.
Someone burns out. Productivity drops. Engagement changes. Health problems become harder to ignore. Then the organization begins asking what could have been done differently.
Trupti Gokani, MD, an East Meets West neurologist, wants that conversation to happen much earlier.
Through her Three-Brain Reset™ program, the physician, author, and integrative health leader is expanding into corporate wellness with programs designed to help professionals understand stress through the health of the brain and nervous system.
Her aim is to reach organizations worldwide, bringing a message developed through decades of clinical practice into workplaces where chronic pressure has become increasingly difficult to separate from everyday professional life.
Moving Beyond Surface Level Wellness
Dr. Gokani believes workplace wellness needs to go deeper than temporary relief.
Her approach combines neuroscience, Ayurveda, and personalized behavior change to help employees understand how the body and brain respond to sustained pressure.
Central to her Three-Brain Reset™ program is the relationship between the first brain (thinking), second brain (feeling), and third brain (digesting). By exploring these interconnected systems, Dr. Gokani helps professionals recognize their unique stress profiles and understand how their physiological responses influence daily performance.
The philosophy is captured in her message: “Align the Brains, Reset the Stress Response: Transform Everything.”
The need for better stress management is substantial. According to the Aflac WorkForces Report, 72% of U.S. workers experience moderate to high stress, the highest level reported in seven years. More than 60% have experienced at least moderate burnout.
Stress also contributes to an estimated $190 billion annually in U.S. healthcare costs, a figure cited by OSHA.
For Dr. Gokani, these numbers reinforce the need to address underlying stress responses rather than waiting for burnout or declining health to become unavoidable.
From Integrative Medicine to Corporate Health
The move into corporate wellness is an expansion of Dr. Gokani’s medical career rather than a departure from it.
She served as co-director of North Suburban Wellness Center and founded Zira Mind & Body Center in the Chicagoland area. She later became chief medical officer of Saffron & Sage Holistic Center in San Diego, California.
Throughout her career, she has examined how neurological health, stress, lifestyle, and behavior intersect.
Her ideas have reached audiences outside the clinic through two Amazon bestselling books, The Mysterious Mind and The StressRx. She has been a repeat guest on The Dr. Oz Show and a blogger for The Huffington Post.
Her professional background also includes faculty roles and work as a physician and sales trainer for pharmaceutical companies such as Allergan, Teva, and Pfizer. She has served as a guest faculty speaker for Northwestern University’s Osher Center for Integrative Health and Microbiome Labs.
These experiences have helped her communicate complex health concepts to broader audiences. Corporate programs now offer an opportunity to reach professionals collectively rather than one patient at a time.
The Same Nervous System Goes Home
One of the more compelling ideas behind Dr. Gokani’s work is that workplace stress does not remain at work.
“The same system that drives your productivity also drives your patience,” she says. “That nervous system, which determines how you perform under pressure, also shapes how you connect with the people you love.”
A professional who spends the day in a heightened state of stress may find it difficult to transition into relaxation afterward.
Dr. Gokani explains that the nervous system can remain in productivity mode long after the demands of the workday have ended, affecting personal relationships, recovery, and overall wellbeing.
That is why she frames nervous system regulation as something larger than an employee benefit. For her, understanding and modulating stress responses can influence professional performance and the quality of life surrounding it.
Reaching People Before the Breaking Point
As Dr. Gokani expands her corporate programs and expands keynote speaking opportunities, she wants organizations to reconsider when wellness interventions should begin.
Her philosophy does not promise a working life without obstacles.
“Life is a journey, not a race to the finish line,” Dr. Gokani says. “The goal is to expect obstacles in your path, unravel the message, and grow from the experience.”
For companies, that perspective shifts the question. Instead of waiting until stress produces visible consequences, Dr. Gokani encourages organizations to build healthier foundations earlier.
Her message reflects a broader ambition: helping professionals understand their nervous systems well enough to perform under pressure without sacrificing the health and relationships that give their work meaning.
