Leading With Heart: Kristine Chilton on Building a Business That Heals

Entrepreneurship often begins with ambition. For Kristine Chilton, it began with empathy. The Life Transition Coach and founder of I Will Find Joy has built a purpose-driven platform for women facing pain, loss, and life’s most difficult transitions. Her brand is less about commerce and more about connection—and in that authenticity, she’s found her calling.

In the mid-2000s, Chilton was battling chronic illness and chronic pain that left her feeling disconnected from her own life. Her close friends and family couldn’t fully understand what she was going through. Searching for people who truly “got it,” she turned to the internet for community.

“I created my first online community because I didn’t want anyone to feel as alone as I did,” she explains. “That small act of kindness grew into something far greater than I ever imagined.”

What started as a modest Facebook group soon became a space for shared strength, healing, and hope—a foundation that would later inspire I Will Find Joy.

From Personal Pain to Global Purpose

Kristine’s story began with isolation—but it has always been guided by courage. Over the years, she faced new trials: divorce, the loss of loved ones, and the daunting task of rebuilding from the ground up. Through it all, I Will Find Joy became more than a message; it became a movement.

“Every challenge became another reminder of why I needed to share my story,” she says. “When we speak honestly about pain, we give others permission to heal.”

The Courage to Take Action

“The biggest shift came when I stopped waiting for everything to be perfect,” Chilton reflects. “Action changed everything.”

By investing in mentorship and programs like Speakerpreneur, and working closely with coach Akbar Sheikh, she learned the power of consistency and self-trust. “You can’t live a big life by hiding behind indecision,” she says. “Once I went all in, doors started opening.”

Building Resilience as a Brand

Kristine’s guidance for others walking the entrepreneurial path is simple yet profound: “Clap for yourself,” she urges. “Celebrate the small victories, even when no one’s watching. Your ‘why’ will carry you through the hard days.”

She also speaks candidly about the ongoing journey toward balance. “I’m still learning,” she admits. “Every day is an opportunity to grow, to rest, to realign.”

The Future of I Will Find Joy

Looking ahead, Kristine plans to expand her reach through content, community programs, and collaborations that align with her mission of hope and healing.

Through her platforms — IWillFindJoy.com, Facebook: I Will Find Joy, Instagram: @iwillfindjoy_, and her podcast I Will Find Joy (available on Amazon Music, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Podbean) — she continues to amplify stories of resilience.

For Chilton, joy isn’t a destination—it’s a decision. “You don’t find joy by avoiding pain,” she says. “You find it by walking through it—and choosing to keep your heart open.”
